Line in on opensuse 11

can anyone tell me how can i connect my guitar on my sound blaster audigy 2 from the line in input.

i do the conection but i havent got any sound coming from the speakers.

i do believe that i must enable it from somewhere but i dont know from where ..

pls any help will be very usefull cause i want to use all these programs for guitar fx or recording on suse but i cant if i cant get any sound.

I don't have opensuse installed but this is how I 've got it working
(this is the only way i can help you, I have no idea about suse)
open a terminal and type :

alsamixer

Then move with the arrows to the "line-in" column and unmute it by pressing the M key on your keyboard. I also unmuted "aux" and "mic". (you could try to unmute everything if you still have no sound)

press Esc

That's what worked for me.
Also you could try and use the mic input of your audigy in case line-in doesn't work.

p.s.: Make sure your guitar amp's output is working. In my case I had to use the mic output on my guitar amp because the preamp output was damaged.

ευχαριστώ για την απάντηση και θα γράψω και στα ελληνικά πλέον.
λοιπόν έχω την audigy 2 που απο ότι διάβασα δεν τα πάει και πολύ καλά με το open suse 11 αλλά ήχο έχει κανονικά. το πρόβλημα μου είναι ότι δεν μπορώ να κάνω ούτε την είσοδο του μικροφώνου ούτε και την θύρα line in να ενεργοποιηθούν. το open suse 11 έχει έτοιμο το alsa mixer διάφορα άλλα tools για τον ήχο και κάπου εκεί πάντα μπερδέυομαι στο απο πού πρέπει να ενεργοποιήσω τι..
και ο ήχος απο τη μουσική και τις ταινίες δεν έπαιζε μέχρι που άλλαξα κάτι άλλες ρυθμίσεις απο τα άλλα εργαλεία που προσφέρει το opensuse 11.
